Services

At Love to Learn, instruction is delivered using a structured, multisensory Orton-Gillingham approach — used with students from preschool through high school — certified through the Institute for Multisensory Education (IMSE) and consistent with key principles supported by the Science of Reading. Every plan is individualized, built around each student's specific profile rather than a generic curriculum.

Literacy Assessment

A comprehensive diagnostic evaluation identifying a student's strengths and areas of need across:

• Oral Language (listening and speaking)

• Phonological Awareness (rhyme, syllables, onset-rime, and phoneme-level skills)

• Print Concepts (print awareness, alphabet knowledge, and print knowledge)

• Decoding and Encoding

• Reading Fluency

• Writing (dictation, sentence-level skills, and, depending on the service, essay and project organization)

Results are compiled into a full written report and reviewed with the family over the phone.

Orton-Gillingham Instruction
Individualized, twice-weekly literacy instruction for students from elementary through high school, addressing:

• Dyslexia and characteristics of dyslexia

• Language-based learning differences

• Decoding and encoding difficulties

• General reading delays requiring explicit, structured literacy instruction

Preschool Literacy Screening & Instruction
Using the same Orton-Gillingham approach, screening of pre-emergent through emergent literacy skills for children ages 4–5, identifying early risk factors before they become bigger challenges, across areas including:

• Oral language and listening comprehension

• Phonological awareness (rhyme, syllables, and sounds)

• Print awareness and alphabet knowledge

• Early writing readiness

Where indicated, this can lead directly into early intervention sessions.

Executive Functioning Coaching

Individualized coaching addressing planning, organization, task initiation, working memory, and self-monitoring, including:

• Executive functioning skill development (organization, planning, time management)

• Support for students with ADHD/ADD

• Building effective study and task-completion strategies
